Hello,  my name is Mrs. Diane Broksieck!  I will be your 1st grade teacher this year.

Family

This is my family.  My husband, Chad , works at First Bank & Trust giving people money who would  like to start a business. img_1037.jpg (2390035 bytes)I  have two boys. I can't believe how fast they have grown up. Tate just turned 18 years old and will be a senior at BHS.  He likes to play basketball, play video games, and go fishing. This summer took the ACT test and had senior pictures taken!!! Now he just needs to decide on a school to attend next year.  Trent just turned 14 and will be in the 8th Grade.   He likes to play all sports, but especially basketball like his brother.  He also likes to play video games, and hang out with friends. He would really like to get his license to drive, but we are making him take Driver's Ed first. Both boys would really like to get a puppy!

Our whole family loves the North Carolina Tar Heels, SDSU Jackrabbits, and of course the Brookings Bobcats!  If you go to a SDSU Men's or Woman's Basketball game you will see Trent on the court as the ball boy!

Hobbies

I have a lot of hobbies, but usually not enough time to enjoy them all.  I like to garden, read, play tennis, and fish in the summer. In the winter we spend a lot of time in the gym attending Jackrabbit and Bobcat basketball games.  Other things I like to do are cook (especially baking cookies), and go for walks.

I am looking forward to the school year and getting to know all the new students in our class.  I hope you are as excited as I am. I always get a little nervous meeting so many new people, but I know that we’ll all have a great year after we get to know each other!
